I believe that one of the intriguing aspects of stage plays and theatre is their "enigmatic nature". The experience of sensing changes in the dark or feeling unease at the sound of a crossing barrier is something that can only be felt in real-time during a stage performance. I think the stage play 'The Summer Hikaru Died' will be filled with such "fear and excitement that can only be experienced by being there." Together with the trusted cast and crew, we will recreate that unforgettable "summer" at the Kinokuniya Hall this winter.

I am thrilled to portray Yoshiki Tsujinaka in my first stage play, 'The Summer Hikaru Died'! When I first read the original work, I was instantly drawn into its unique world and the complex relationship between Yoshiki and Hikaru, wondering, "What will happen next?!" This story is not just a horror tale; it depicts the loneliness and emotions unique to adolescence and the conflicts arising from Yoshiki and Hikaru's desire to "be together". Yoshiki is a delicate character caught between fear and affection for Hikaru, and I want to cherish and portray that emotional turmoil. I am also very excited to see how the original world will be expressed on stage, and I hope to share the tension unique to stage performances with the audience. Please look forward to it!

Nice to meet you! I am Hikaru Imamaki, playing Hikaru in the stage play 'The Summer Hikaru Died'! This is the first time I am playing a role with the same name as mine. I still remember the mysterious excitement and unfamiliarity when introducing myself during the visual shoot. After receiving the offer, I read the manga, and since the anime started, I've been eagerly watching every week, and the excitement for today's reveal has been bursting! Finally, it's here!
