Mitsuri Kanroji’s Brilliant Attacks: “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” The Mastery of a Sword That Ripples Like a Ribbon Amazes Even Tanjirō (“Mongee!”)

The Nichirin Blade wielded by the Demon Slayer Corps’ “Love Hashira,” Mitsuri Kanroji (voiced by Kana Hanazawa), is extremely thin, flexible, and has an unusual shape. In episode 10 of the anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village Arc,” Mitsuri’s breathtaking battle scene shows her freely manipulating her unique sword as if it were a rhythmic gymnastics ribbon.

Facing down the demon Zohakuten (voiced by Kōichi Yamadera), Mitsuri rushes to assist Tanjirō Kamado (voiced by Natsuki Hanae) just as he finds himself in grave danger. Mitsuri counters Zohakuten’s attacks with incredible speed, unleashing the Love Breathing: Third Form – Romantic Cat Dance. Tanjirō, astonished by Mitsuri’s phenomenal skills, exclaims “Mongee!” Mitsuri continues to fend off Zohakuten’s relentless assaults using an array of techniques, including the Second Form – Swelling Love: Love Pangs and the Sixth Form – Cat-Legged Winds of Love.
