"Always Has Chocolate Bread at the Corner of His Mouth"—Daisuke Namikawa Left Red-Faced by Showtaro Morikubo's Revelation!?

On ABEMA’s "Anime LIVE Channel," episode #17 of "Say You To Yo Asobi Connect: Thursday【Daisuke Namikawa × Showtaro Morikubo】" aired at 10 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025. In this episode, with both Kensho Ono and Natsuki Hanae absent, Daisuke Namikawa and Showtaro Morikubo appeared as substitute MCs. The program featured a conversation where they discussed "what they like about each other," as well as segments incorporating popular specials from other days of the week.

During the opening, a message board segment challenged the two to respond to a topic proposed by MCs from other days. Given how often Namikawa and Morikubo meet at work or in private—so much so that “not a week goes by without seeing each other”—Saturday MC Masaya Fukunishi suggested, "Say what you like about each other! Then hug afterwards!" While Namikawa playfully retorted "Knock it off!" to his Saturday co-host Morikubo, he bashfully commented, "I like the way Morikubo-san’s hair flows. And whenever he goes traveling, he always brings back some cheap little souvenir for the show." Morikubo replied with a smile, "You’re coming up with plenty of things you like, huh!"

Morikubo then revealed a surprising side of Namikawa: “Whenever I bump into you early in the morning at a recording studio, you always have bits of chocolate bread at the corner of your mouth. I love that about you!” This confession left Namikawa red-faced, responding, “Stop it! I just really like chocolate!” After that, the two shared a hug, joking, "Fukunishi-san, is this good enough for you?" and "What’s so fun about watching two middle-aged guys do this, anyway?!" The studio burst into laughter.
