Original Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade Story Arc "Jugoku Island," Where Nanami is Rescued, Reveals MAPPA-Produced Opening Video

The smartphone game "Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade" (hereafter, "Phanpare") has revealed the opening video and theme song information for its original story arc, the "Jugoku Island Arc." In addition, the visuals and the voice cast for three new original characters introduced in "Phanpare" have also been announced.

"Phanpare" is the first smartphone game based on the popular manga "Jujutsu Kaisen" by Gege Akutami. Not only can players relive the story of the first season of the TV anime, but they can also enjoy an original command battle RPG storyline set in Fukuoka.

In the "Phanpare" original story arc "Jugoku Island," Yūji Itadori and his friends infiltrate a prison for curse users to rescue Kento Nanami, who has been captured. The story is supervised by Hiroshi Seko, who is responsible for series composition and script in the "Jujutsu Kaisen" TV anime series and also wrote the script for the movie "Jujutsu Kaisen 0."

As a follow-up, the opening video and theme song have been unveiled. The opening video is once again produced by MAPPA, who handled the "Jujutsu Kaisen" TV anime and "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" movie. The theme song is a new track by Who-ya Extended, titled "Chained Chase," who also performed the opening theme for the second cour of the first season of the "Jujutsu Kaisen" TV anime.

The edgy tension packed into the very first note of the intro, the flow into the beautiful melody line of the A section, and the explosive chorus imbued with both a sense of speed and determination form a rock number that is truly representative of "Who-ya Extended." This track serves as a fitting response to the season 1 second cour opening theme "VIVID VICE," celebrating the first "Who-ya Extended x Jujutsu Kaisen" collaboration in four years.
