Taking Muzan Kibutsuji Down With Them...! The Ubuyashiki Family’s Resolve in "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Was as Intense as a Movie

In the anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc," the Ubuyashiki family’s life-risking, explosive attack was animated with such intensity that viewers raved, "It’s honestly movie-level!" and "It looked so realistic, I thought it was live action!"

In Episode 8, the final episode of the Hashira Training Arc, Muzan comes to see Kagaya Ubuyashiki (voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa), the bedridden head of the Demon Slayer Corps. By Kagaya’s side was his wife, Amane Ubuyashiki (voiced by Rina Satou), and their children, Hinaki Ubuyashiki (voiced by Yumiri Hanamori) and Nichika Ubuyashiki (voiced by Ari Ozawa), playing nearby.

Kagaya exchanged words with Muzan for a while and then, surprising Muzan, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I never thought you’d listen to me this much. Thank you, Muzan." Suddenly, the room was engulfed in flames, and a massive explosion consumed not only Muzan but also the entire Ubuyashiki family. Kagaya and his family had decided to make themselves bait and self-destruct to take Muzan down with them.
