Tani Yuuki, who has been a huge "Doraemon" fan since childhood, was thrilled by the offer: “I was so happy to be able to become a part of the world of ‘Doraemon,’ which I’ve watched since I was a kid.” He also said, “‘Moshimonogatari’ is a song into which I poured as much of my own ‘Doraemon’ as I could. I wanted to express the world of ‘Doraemon’ that I’ve carried inside me since I was a child in my own way, so I made this song. When I received approval, I felt joy welling up from the bottom of my heart,” revealing how much he put his feelings for “Doraemon” into the song.
Furthermore, he confessed, “Sometimes you hit walls or stumble, but I hope this song conveys that you can broaden your world and see it shine brighter depending on your perspective and way of thinking. I hope it becomes a song that not only encourages children’s dreams but also gently supports adults.”
When Tani Yuuki watched the freshly completed ending animation, he was moved by the sight of Doraemon moving along to his song, and exclaimed, “Doraemon and friends are walking to my music...! This is so good...!” and couldn’t help but applaud. “To have Doraemon and his friends groove to a song I created is truly happiness,” he praised.

—Please tell us your thoughts after watching the new ending sequence accompanied by “Moshimonogatari.”
When I first saw it, I was so happy to see Doraemon walking in time to my song, I thought, “This is so good...!” To have Doraemon and friends groove along to a song I made is truly a blessing. I appreciated how the ending was packed with wonderful choreography and expressions reminiscent of manga panels, among many different scenes, making it an amazing ending. I am so grateful.
—How did you feel when you were offered the ending theme?
I was extremely happy to be invited into the world of “Doraemon,” which I have watched ever since I was a child. “Moshimonogatari” is a song filled with my own interpretation of “Doraemon,” and I wanted to express the worldview of “Doraemon” that has lived in my heart since I was a child. So, I was able to compose the song without much hesitation, all at once, and when it was completed, I felt a joy welling up from deep inside.
—What thoughts and feelings did you put into creating this song?
In daily life, I think there are times when people hit obstacles or stumble. Within that, I wanted to convey the message that the world can broaden and appear brighter depending on your own mindset and perspective. I made this song with the hope that people, regardless of whether their dreams are big or small, can have dreams. That wish is packed into this song.
—Do you have a favorite phrase in the song?
There’s a phrase at the beginning that goes, “Kitto dare demo ichido (Wa) ima made ni sukoshi (Cry),” and outside of the main vocal, there are shouts included, so everyone can sing along and enjoy it together. I’d be delighted if people would sing along.
—If you could have any Secret Gadget, what would you choose?
I really love the “What-if Phone Booth”—I’d love to make a wish like “It’d be nice if the world was like this” come true just once. I also think the gadgets that allow you to manipulate time, like the “Time Machine” or “Time Kerchief,” are wonderfully romantic. Besides those, I like the “Legendary Light Sword,” “Air Cannon,” and “Korobashiya.” When these gadgets come out when you’re in a pinch, it gives such peace of mind. As an artist, I think the “Koekatamarin” would also be great. It would be fun if my singing voice became tangible at a live concert (laughs).
—Please tell us your favorite episode from “Doraemon.”
The episode “One More Time… A Grandmother’s Memories” (aired in 2006) left a really strong impression on me. I was really close to my grandmother. When I saw this episode as a child, it was right after I had said something unkind to my grandmother, so I remember immediately deciding to apologize and vowing never to say such things again. When I rewatched the episode as an adult... I still couldn’t hold back my tears.
—Please give a message to the viewers!
The ending theme “Moshimonogatari” for the TV anime “Doraemon,” which I’ve been given the honor to be in charge of, will be broadcast starting in October. I hope it becomes a song that gently encourages not only children’s dreams, but also supports adults as well. I put my heart into making it, so please be sure to listen.
