In Anime-Original Episode, Protagonists Face Complete Devastation! The Principal (voiced by Megumi Ogata) Causes Catastrophe with an “Unusual Action” in Episode 12 of “Tougen Anki”

Episode 12 of the anime “Tougen Anki,” which began airing from September 26, is an original episode depicting the everyday lives of protagonist Shiki Ichinose (voiced by Kazuki Ura) and his friends. An unexpected major incident is sparked by an “unusual action” of the enigmatic The Principal (voiced by Megumi Ogata).

In Episode 12, titled “Stormy Day,” the students of Rasetsu Academy are forced to spend the night in the gymnasium as part of an evacuation drill. While Shiki and his friends are telling ghost stories, the Principal shows up without anyone noticing. The Principal, already a suspicious character who always hides his face with a cloth adorned with a pentagram, appears even more ominous this time—donning a deep kasa hat and playing a shakuhachi flute, with floating fireballs around him.

In reality, Shiki is not good with ghosts, and, mistaking the Principal for one, panics completely. Screaming “No way, no way, no way! I can’t handle ghosts!” he enters “Kesshoku Release” and fires his gun wildly. The building collapses, and both Shiki and the other students present end up passed out.

The anime-original episode drew great excitement online, with reactions like, “It was fun seeing the students in a school-like setting,” “Shiki being scared of ghosts is so cute,” and “It felt like a school trip, I loved it.” The appearance of the Principal disguised as a ghost also received reactions such as, “The Principal was surprisingly playful,” and “I never expected the Principal to show up like that.”
