“Tougen Anki” is based on the popular manga by Yura Urushibara, serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten). Taking inspiration from the well-known Japanese folk tale “Momotaro,” it is a new-generation dark hero saga depicting the struggle between those with oni (demon) blood and those with Momotaro blood. The story begins when Shiki, a boy living as a normal human, is suddenly attacked by a mysterious man affiliated with the “Momotaro Agency.”

Episode 12 “Stormy Day”
[Synopsis]
Rasetsu Academy is struck by severe stormy weather. After finishing their training, Shiki and his friends are relaxing in the bath when Naito Mudano instructs them to carry out an evacuation drill. Gathered in the gymnasium, they are told to spend the night there as training. With no usual strict tasks assigned, everyone enjoys dinner together, albeit with some caution. When only one pudding is left, an argument erupts between Shiki and Jin Kōgasaki. Jin, who secretly loves sweets, gets genuinely angry and nearly starts a deadly fight, but Naito Mudano scolds them and settles the dispute. That night, the boys and girls sleep separately. The boys start telling ghost stories, but Shiki, who is secretly terrified of ghosts, struggles to endure. Suddenly, the lights go out.
