[Synopsis]
Miaka Yūki, a high school student about to take her entrance exams, is suddenly drawn into an ancient book she finds with her best friend Yui Hongo in the library. Transported into the world of Konan, a land reminiscent of ancient China, Miaka is saved from an attack by a young man named Tamahome (voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa). To protect Konan and discover how to return to her own world, Miaka becomes the "Priestess of Suzaku." Soon, her friend Yui also appears before her as the "Priestess of Seiryu." Unlike Miaka, Yui has suffered traumatic events and closes her heart even to Miaka. As each bears their respective destinies, Miaka and Yui find themselves on opposing sides. Amidst harsh fate, Tamahome and Miaka are drawn to each other, and thus the battle between Suzaku and Seiryu begins!
