Voice Actress Izumi Fuka Releases Childhood & High School Treasured Photos on "SHIBUYA ANIME BASE" #62

Around 2014, Izumi began to walk the path of a voice actor enthusiast. "Around this time, I often watched works for the sake of the voice actors, enjoying series like 'Haikyu!!,' 'Uta no Prince-sama♪,' and 'Gintama,'" she confessed, revealing the moment she decided to become a voice actress. "Watching Miyu Irino's performance in 'Haikyu!!' made me think, 'This is what I want to become.'" When Nakamura asked, "Have you worked with Irino-san?" Izumi immediately replied, "No, I haven't." Nakamura laughed and said, "I wish you could tell him yourself," to which Izumi humbly responded, "That would be too presumptuous!"

Additionally, during her high school years, Izumi experienced a resurgence of her 'Nintama Rantaro' craze. She shared, "When I watched it again after a long time, the depth of the fandom was beyond my imagination, and I got really hooked." She also surprised the studio by sharing a photo from when she visited the sacred site, Amagasaki in Hyogo Prefecture.

On the stage of "Tougen Anki," whose second cour began on Friday, October 3rd, the leading actors Kazuki Urawa and Manaka Iwami made an appearance. Reflecting on iconic scenes from the first cour, Urawa commented, "The first cour started from 'What is Tougen Anki?' but the second cour allows you to experience a new world based on that, so I think it has become a very interesting story." Iwami also shared, "The atmosphere is different from the first cour, and the setting changes, so I think it has turned into a work with a different impression."

Furthermore, on the stage of the much-anticipated October anime "May I Ask for One Final Thing?", Asami Seto, Wataru Kato, and Miyu Tomita appeared. Seto said, "The heroine Scarlet, who fights with her fists, is captivating." Tomita remarked, "You can definitely feel a spark, but is it romance...?" Kato added, "I think the relationship will be very appealing to those who like that kind of dynamic."

Finally, voice actors Nobuhiko Okamoto and Manaka Iwami, who served as "Okoshiyasu Taishi," took the stage. Okamoto commented, "I've had the opportunity to do this for two consecutive years, and I think it was quite lively. As an ambassador, it's something special when dozens of people walk along with you," he said. Iwami shared, "I mainly participated onstage, but it became an unforgettable memory!"

When Okamoto, who is also the president of his talent agency, was asked, "How was Iwami's role as the Okoshiyasu Taishi from the president's perspective?" he responded with a smile, "It was wonderful. I think Iwami herself is a great match with Kyoto." Iwami quickly replied, "I'm moving there!" and the venue was filled with laughter.
