A… Artesia!? “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” – The Long-lost Little Sister Has Become the Federation’s Strongest Pilot

Siblings crossing blades—it was a shocking reunion. In episode 8 of the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX,” the scene where Sayla Mass confronts the pilot of the red Gundam, Char Aznable (voiced by Yūki Shin), became a huge topic of discussion.

As is well known from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, the “Red Comet” Char Aznable of the Principality of Zeon has a long-lost sister, Sayla. Episode 8 of “GQuuuuuuX” reconstructed scenes reminiscent of this sibling relationship, stirring up fans’ memories.

During a mission, Char encounters a white Light Cannon. “To remain alone like this... how brave,” Char remarks, but in the next moment, he is hit by a preemptive attack from a massive hammer. The consecutive attacks from the Light Cannon, which even draws a beam saber, left a powerful impression on viewers.

Through Newtype intuition, Char realizes that the enemy is his sister and hesitates to counterattack for an instant. However, in that moment, the Light Cannon mercilessly fires its beam. Was Sayla aware that she was fighting her brother, or was she simply following orders? This remains ambiguous.
