Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage will exhibit at Daimaru Kyoto Store from November 12th to 25th.

Launched in 2021, Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage positions manga as an art form to be inherited by future generations and has participated in overseas art fairs in cities such as New York and Los Angeles. This marks their first participation in a domestic art fair in Japan.

In conjunction with their participation in "ACK (Art Collaboration Kyoto) 2025," to be held in Kyoto in November, they will display works in a special space in front of the information desk on the first floor of Daimaru Kyoto Store. Various works that have been released thus far, including 'ONE PIECE,' 'BLEACH,' 'The Rose of Versailles,' and 'Mazinger Z,' along with new works, will be exhibited and sold.

Each work emphasizes its production method. For 'ONE PIECE,' a scroll of "ONE PIECE / The Scroll Ichi" (2024), printed at Benrido Collotype Workshop in Kyoto, will be displayed. Printed using 50 plates on hand-made Echizen washi paper, it is a beautiful work with rich blue tones, and is currently also on display at the "Art of Manga" exhibition (de Young Museum, San Francisco).

'BLEACH' is expressed using letterpress flatbed printing machines that have now become rare, with a tactile surface that can only be achieved by letterpress printing machines, where you can feel the unevenness when touched. The main pages of manga, which have evolved as monochrome narrative expression, are fixed onto 100% cotton paper produced at Europe's oldest paper mill.

'The Rose of Versailles' displays color print works such as "The Rose of Versailles / Oscar François de Jarjayes in Blue." Archival inkjet prints. A1-size prints that can be enjoyed in large size and A2-size sets at the original artwork's actual size will be sold as sets.

The 'Mazinger Z' exhibition is linked with ACK2025 (November 14-16, 2025). Works printed with metal letterpress embedded with type will be exhibited and sold at Daimaru Kyoto Store. Large-format color print works of the same title will also be displayed, and with the cooperation of Go Nagai and Dynamic Production, these works were donated to Wajima City. The scene from the visit to Wajima City for the donation has been published along with a video on the Shueisha Manga-Art Heritage site.

In addition, print works by Kyoko Okazaki and a portion of Jakuchu Ito's "Kahouzu" works, being released for the first time, will also be exhibited and sold. Approximately 24 exhibited works and approximately 14 stock works are planned, with the exhibition running until Tuesday, November 25th.
