Five New Episodes of 'ATASHIn'CHI NEXT' Confirmed for Distribution! First-Time Anime Episodes to be Released on the 20th of Every Month — Eiko Kera: "We were able to create new episodes again this year!"

New episodes of the anime 'ATASHIn'CHI NEXT' are scheduled to start distribution on the official 'ATASHIn'CHI' YouTube channel from Thursday, November 20th. A total of five new episodes will be released sequentially, one episode every month on the 20th at 6:30 PM JST, for five consecutive months.

The anime 'ATASHIn'CHI' is based on the popular manga by Eiko Kera. It is a home comedy depicting the daily life of the Tachibana family, a four-member household consisting of Mother, Father, Mikan, and Yuzuhiko. Since its TV anime adaptation in 2002, the series has been loved for a long time, and the new series, 'ATASHIn'CHI NEXT,' which began distribution in 2024, is also gaining popularity.

The newly distributed Episodes 6 to 10 are all first-time anime adaptations of the manga. Starting with Episode 6, "Yuzu and the Melon, All Alone", up to Episode 10, "I Want to Go to the Movies with Iwaki-kun", popular episodes from the original 'ATASHIn'CHI Best' collections will be animated. The original author, Eiko Kera, commented: "Thanks to all of your views, we were able to create new episodes again this year! I am grateful!"

Furthermore, a special video series, "Motto Tanoshimō! ATASHIn'CHI NEXT" (Let's Enjoy ATASHIn'CHI NEXT More!), is also being distributed exclusively on YouTube. This content allows viewers to rediscover the charm of the work while looking back at the first five episodes of 'ATASHIn'CHI NEXT' (Episodes 1 to 5).
