In episode 133 of the anime "Chiikawa," a river of miso soup with large shijimi clams flowing through it appeared. When Chiikawa (CV. Haruka Aoki), Hachiware (CV. Makoto Tanaka), and Usagi (CV. Ari Ozawa) rushed to the scene, they found Kuri-Manjū (CV. Takayuki Asai) already there. The episode depicted him vigorously slurping miso soup while suffering from a hangover.
"Whaaaat!? Miso soup!?" shouted Hachiware. Then Chiikawa, together with Usagi, started running toward the river. As the aroma of dashi broth wafted through the air, a mysterious scene unfolded before them: a river of miso soup with giant shijimi clams flowing through it.
There, they found Kuri-Manjū, who was already there and looked pale. Appearing to have drunk too much the night before, Kuri-Manjū used a shijimi shell as a bowl and slurped down the miso soup in one go. His complexion immediately improved, and he let out a big breath, "Hahhh..." as if thoroughly savoring the miso soup.
In response to this scene, comments such as "Shijimi miso soup really does work for hangovers!" and "Miso soup (shijimi soup) is the answer for hangovers, isn't it, Kuri-Manjū-senpai?" were shared. Additionally, reactions to the unique world view characteristic of Chiikawa were raised, including "This scene is truly Nagano-sensei's world" and "It's strange but interesting."
