A pop-up shop presented by Madhouse, the animation studio behind the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," has been confirmed to open sequentially in Tokyo and Osaka starting Friday, December 5th. Information about new original visuals and merchandise for sale has been released.

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan), with original story by Kanehito Yamada and artwork by Tsukasa Abe. Set in the world "after" the Demon King was defeated by the hero and their party, the story depicts the journey of Frieren, a mage who has lived for over a thousand years and defeated the Demon King alongside the hero, and the new people she encounters. With its innovative timeline of "post-Demon King defeat," the series has captured many readers with its heart-touching drama and dialogue, battles featuring magic and swords, and humor that makes you laugh involuntarily—all woven together by the characters' stories. The currently available comic series has surpassed 32 million copies in worldwide circulation, showing ever-increasing popularity.

Season 2 of the TV anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" (Animation Production: Madhouse), based on this explosively popular manga, has been confirmed to air starting January 16th, 2026, every Friday at 11 PM on Nippon Television Network's 30 nationwide stations as part of "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT." Season 1 of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," which aired in 2023, was the memorable first production of Nippon Television Network's nationwide anime broadcast slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT," abbreviated as "Fura Ani," serving as the launch title for this new slot. Every Friday night, it captivated a wide range of fans and viewers of all ages and genders, as Frieren and her companions' journey was watched over. And from January 16th, 2026, Frieren and her companions will return every Friday night.

This pop-up shop is titled "TV Anime 'Frieren: Beyond Journey's End' POP UP SHOP Butterfly Frieren." Animator Ayaka Minoshima, who is also involved in the production of the main series, has created special original visuals with a watercolor-like quality. The visuals feature Frieren, Fern, Stark, Himmel, Heiter, and Eisen, each with butterflies dancing around them in an impressive composition, resulting in visuals with an unprecedented atmosphere. Various merchandise using these designs will be sold.

Furthermore, at this POP UP SHOP, for every purchase of 2,200 yen (tax included) of new products only, customers will receive one bonus postcard featuring the original visuals, with 6 different types available.

The "TV Anime 'Frieren: Beyond Journey's End' POP UP SHOP Butterfly Frieren" will be held at Shinjuku Marui Annex 2F Event Space in Tokyo from Friday, December 5th, 2025 to Sunday, December 14th, 2025, and at Namba Marui 5F Event Space in Osaka from Friday, December 26th, 2025 to Sunday, January 11th, 2026.
