The anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is based on the manga of the same name, written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, which is serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. It is a story set in the world after the Demon King was defeated, following Frieren, a thousand-plus-year-old elf mage, on a journey "to learn about humans." Furthermore, a second season of the TV anime has been confirmed to begin broadcasting in January 2026.
