The first Main Promotional Video (PV) and Key Visual (KV) have been unveiled for the TV anime series Osananajimi to wa LoveCom ni Naranai, which is set to begin airing in 2026. Alongside this, new cast information, the ending theme artist, and the decision to hold a pre-screening event have also been announced.

My Childhood Friends Won't Become a Romantic Comedy is the "hottest childhood friends rom-com" by Shinya Misu, currently serialized to great acclaim on Magazine Pocket (Kodansha). It depicts the sweet, frustrating, and emotionally guarded love story between childhood friends.

The newly released first Main PV and Key Visual gather all the main characters, including the protagonist, Eiyu/Yonosuke Sakai (known as "Eiyū"), and the childhood friend heroines: Shio Minamo, Akari Hiodoshi, Runa Tsukimi, and Haru Hinata. The video hints at the start of a "troublesome romance," showing the protagonist, Yonosuke, being tossed around by the childhood friend heroines, wavering between love and friendship. Furthermore, a portion of the audio for the ending theme by Hikari Kodama was revealed for the first time, along with her commentary.

Additionally, a "Talk Event & Advance Screening of Episodes 1 & 2" will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at United Cinema Aqua City Odaiba. The event will feature appearances by the cast members: Rin Kusumi (voice of Shio Minamo), Yū Serizawa (voice of Akari Hiodoshi), Sae Hiratsuka (voice of Runa Tsukimi), and Yūki Yamamoto (voice of Haru Hinata).

【Ending Theme Artist: Hikari Kodama Commentary】
Hello everyone! I'm singer-songwriter Hikari Kodama. I've had the pleasure of writing the new song "Amanojaku" (Contrarian) to be the ending theme for the TV anime My Childhood Friends Won't Become a Romantic Comedy. I'm incredibly happy to be involved with such a wonderful work through music! Although it's a romantic comedy, the ending theme encapsulates complex feelings: the realization of romantic feelings for someone so close—a childhood friend—but also the shyness and awkwardness of being unable to be honest, and the simultaneous bittersweetness of continuing to secretly harbor those feelings while staying by their side. I'm also the type who can't be honest easily! (lol) So, I hope I was able to capture the secret romantic desires hidden beneath the heroines' strong fronts. Let's all help make the anime a success! Don't skip the ending, okay?? (lol) Please look forward to it!
