When I read the original manga, I thought, "What a dream-filled series!" It so gratifyingly depicts the kind of close, flirty relationship with a childhood friend that any guy must have dreamed of at least once. I, too, was one of those guys who fantasized about it. But the one thing that was different from my fantasy was the part about it won't become a romantic comedy. "Huh?! If your childhood friend lives next door, shouldn't it become a romantic comedy?!" We see them passing each other by and clashing. I intend to spend those frustrating yet endearing "non-rom-com" days with Eiyū, who values his childhood friends dearly, even as he looks at them with slightly perverted eyes!
