She became interested in voice acting at age 17, and at 18, she aspired to become an actor and studied acting at university. During her first year's summer break, she won the grand prize at an agency audition. She revealed an episode from this time when she was told she resembled Ryunosuke Kamiki, and her nickname was "Kamiki-chan."
For Koizumi, who was affiliated with an agency and attending auditions, passing the audition for "Revue Starlightt" at age 21 became a major turning point.
The work, in which she played the major character Nana Daiba, was a multimedia project centered on stage performances and anime. Looking back, Koizumi stated, "It's no exaggeration to say I learned everything I know now," explaining that she thoroughly learned the fundamentals of being a stage actress through this work, including the basics of singing and dancing necessary for musicals, as well as sword fighting. She challenged herself in areas she had never experienced before, such as anime, mobile games, and live performances, emphasizing that "I was able to grow rapidly" and that the encounter with this work was irreplaceable to her.

Additionally, at age 25, she made her artist debut as the voice actress unit "harmoe" with Haruki Iwata, with whom she co-starred in "Revue Starlightt."
