In commemoration of "Culture Day," this broadcast implemented "Culture Day Project! Learning Taiko and Going Do-do-don-don." The instructor who appeared was Issai, a wadaiko performer with performance experience in 17 countries around the world. Various wadaiko drums, large and small, were brought into the studio, and first, a lesson on the structure and history of taiko began.
Among the three drums lined up—the nagado-daiko made by hollowing out a single zelkova tree, the okedo-daiko made by joining wooden boards together in a barrel shape, and the shime-daiko which has the thickest skin and produces the highest sound—Yasumoto immediately asked a blunt question: "Which one is the most expensive among these?" When Issai answered "nagado-daiko" while explaining, "The price is approximately 1 million yen. But that's actually cheap for taiko drums, and when they get bigger, they can cost tens of millions of yen," surprised voices overflowed from the two: "Ehhh!? Really!?" "Kaaaaa!"
