——It's a difficult aspect, isn't it? Sakura's worries seem simple but also have universal aspects. In other works, the motivation and goal of reaching the top with his fists might be accomplished as is, but this work is different.

Uesugi: If you put it into words, it's probably really simple. But Sakura, who has lived like that for over ten years, can't change immediately in just the period depicted in this film.

What to use his fists for is a theme depicted throughout from the first half, and he tries to accept it while being bewildered by the gap. I think the highlight is that process of Sakura's change as he tries to understand, and the same goes for Shishitoren.

Especially Sakura's expression at the end—it's not a face that says he understood everything, but an exquisitely wonderful expression that really lets you imagine Sakura's future. I think we were able to end the work leaving such an expression.
