In "Chainsaw Man - The Compilation," a re-edit of all 12 TV episodes, the battle between Denji (CV: Kikunosuke Toya) and the Eternity Devil has leveled up! The fight scene, set to the insert song "Hawatari Nioku Centi" by the popular rock band Maximum the Hormone, was a hit with fans, who praised the music cues as "perfect timing."
In the first half of Chainsaw Man - The Compilation: Part 1, Denji transforms into Chainsaw Man, but his chainsaws vanish because he’s running low on blood. To recover, he drinks the blood of the Eternity Devil. Tearing into his opponent’s flesh, he laughs maniacally: "Even blood as nasty as sewage... if I drink it while watching that look of agony on your face, it tastes just like strawberry jam!"
While "Hawatari Nioku Centi" was also used in the TV version’s battle against the Eternity Devil, the compilation film features a longer cut of the song that plays through the chorus. This extended version effectively highlights Denji’s "loose screw" persona more than ever. Fans were thrilled, leaving comments like, "The timing for the song was spot on!" and "The way they played the track was cinematic and absolutely amazing!"
