As the fifth installment of the 30th anniversary project for the anime "Evangelion" series, "Monthly Eva EVANGELION 30th MOVIE Fest.2025-2026," Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo will be screened starting January 9th, 2026. In conjunction with this, details about the short films to be screened simultaneously, special audio commentary by the cast, and information regarding the cheering screening have been announced.
This screening will feature two short films in addition to the main feature. The lineup includes the prequels EVANGELION:3.0(-46h) and EVANGELION:3.0(-120min.), which were included as bonus content on the Blu-ray & DVD of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time. Notably, EVANGELION:3.0(-120min.) is a motion comic adaptation of an original manga published in the theater admission bonus "EVA-EXTRA-EXTRA" during the release of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, and this marks its first theatrical release excluding event screenings.
Prior to the release, new scene photos have been unveiled, including Midori Kitakami and Evangelion Unit-02α Provisional Unit Specification from EVANGELION:3.0(-46h), as well as scenes of Mari speaking to Asuka from EVANGELION:3.0(-120min.).
Additionally, similar to previous "Monthly Eva" screenings, opening commentary by those involved with the production will be shown. This time, Akira Ishida, who voices Kaworu Nagisa, and Maaya Sakamoto, who voices Mari Makinami Illustrious, will provide the commentary. It will be audio-only screening, with approximately 8 minutes of content from both voice actors scheduled to be broadcast at all theaters.
