"The Apothecary Diaries" is an anime adaptation of the light novel of the same name by Hyuganatsu. It's a huge hit that has also been adapted into comics in two monthly magazines and a manga magazine app. The mystery drama featuring Maomao working as a "poison taster" in the rear palace, as well as the comical exchanges between Maomao and Jinshi, gained popularity and became a major topic of conversation. The TV anime has aired up to Season 2, and Season 3 has been announced to air in split two-cours starting October 2026 and April 2027. Additionally, the series' first theatrical film is scheduled to be released in December 2026. Starting November 2025, the TV anime "The Apothecary Diaries" exhibition will tour various cities in Asia, with popularity continuing to grow worldwide.
