Regarding the second season, which begins broadcasting on January 24th, Haruse highlighted the appeal, saying, "Many powerful rivals appear, but it's wonderful how each of them lives earnestly as protagonists in their own right." Suzuki commented on the evolution of the skating scenes, noting, "As the level increases, the difficulty of the choreography also rises, making it even more distinctive."
Afterwards, CHIKA, KOHARU, and MAHINA from HANA, who perform the opening theme song "Cold Night," appeared as special guests. With all members being anime fans, KOHARU described their reaction when the tie-up was decided: "We jumped and hugged each other in great joy," while CHIKA said, "My dream came true." Regarding the song, MAHINA commented, "I imagined the sensation of skating and aimed for a singing style overflowing with the exhilarating feeling of landing an axel." Haruse also praised it, saying, "It's a perfect song for 'Medalist,' which is a story about staking one's life on a challenge."
Finally, Haruse sent a message ahead of the broadcast start: "The growth story of Inori and Tsukasa in the second season is truly wonderful. There are many beautiful choreographies by Suzuki-san, so please look forward to it."
