The official X account for the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End posted on January 14th announcing that there are just 2 days left until Season 2 begins broadcasting, sparking discussion among fans.

The released image is a countdown illustration by Daiki Harashina, who serves as the series' assistant director. Against a vivid blue background, Frieren (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki) is depicted from behind in a large composition, her silver hair flowing wildly upward as if caught in a strong wind. In the direction of her gaze, the figures of Fern (CV: Kana Ichinose) and Stark (CV: Chiaki Kobayashi) can be seen looking back, with Frieren carrying her bag. This single image conveys the atmosphere of a new journey about to begin, with a serene yet powerful ambiance.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is a manga series with story by Kanehito Yamada and art by Tsukasa Abe. Currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday, it has won the 14th Manga Taisho Award and the 25th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize New Creator Award. Set in a world "after" the hero's party defeated the Demon King, it is a fantasy following Frieren, an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years, on her "journey to understand human hearts." Season 2 of the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End will begin airing on terrestrial television on January 16th.
