The anime Jujutsu Kaisen is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which has surpassed 150 million copies in total circulation. The story begins when Yuji, who ends up sharing his body with the King of Curses "Ryomen Sukuna," transfers to Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School, a specialized institution against curses. The original manga concluded in 2024, and from September 2025, a spin-off titled "Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo)" with original story by Akutami and art by Yuji Iwasaki has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha).

【Synopsis】
Although Yuji was consumed by guilt over the mass murders in Shibuya, he stands up after receiving Fushiguro's words, "Save me first," and reunites with Yuki and the others hiding at the technical college. The group heads to the Tombs of the Star to meet Tengen, seeking "a way to break the seal of the Prison Realm in which Gojo is sealed" and "the specific objectives of Noritoshi Kamo and his future moves." Along with answering their questions, Tengen begins to speak about the true name of Noritoshi Kamo and the death battle among those given cursed techniques that he orchestrated—the "Culling Game."
