[Comment from Taito Ban, voice of Kodo Iwamoto]
"Kodo Iwamoto," whom I will be playing this time, is a third-year student at the Army's Seiho Middle School, where those with special powers gather. His mission, which becomes the core of the story, is to find ability users who exist throughout the country for the purpose of protecting them and to give them recommendation letters to the Army's Seiho Middle School. Iwamoto is very calm and compassionate, and is admired by many juniors, but he himself is still a middle school student. He worries, suffers, struggles, and grows significantly throughout the story. I hope you'll also pay attention to that very "human" side of him. A story that is gorgeous yet somehow ephemeral, woven by many attractive characters. Please look forward to it!

Hello everyone. I'm Yuki Sakakibara, who will be playing Kai Haramachi. When I read the original work, I felt a strong attraction to the unique worldview created by the beautiful artwork that evokes the atmosphere of that era and the narrative style that feels like reading journals or reports. I am very, very honored to be given this opportunity to express such an incomparable world. It's a wonderful work, so please look forward to it!

This work has an incredible texture throughout, from the artwork to the way words are woven together, and I think it's a work that provides the highest quality manga experience possible. The story also has themes that resonate with us living in the present day, even though the historical setting is in the past, and each and every character is very attractive. I find myself reading every panel down to the finest details. Many people are probably curious about how the manifestation of the ability users' powers and the direction of flowers and flames will be portrayed in the anime, right? I'm also very much looking forward to it. With the efforts of so many staff members, I'm sure it will become a wonderful animation.
[Comment from Director Toshifumi Kawase]
In adapting "Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen" into anime, what we struggled with most was how to express each character's abilities as visuals. The fate they bear because of those abilities is an ephemeral and sad story. That's exactly why I wanted to express it beautifully and elegantly. What I struggled with most was expressing the protagonist Kodo Iwamoto's "Cremation Red Spider Lily." How will that power save the characters who have been burdened with unwanted fates?
I would be happy if you enjoy watching it.

Congratulations on the anime adaptation of "Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen." This work is full of attractive male characters, and among them, I made it a point to depict Iwamoto-senpai as "a man that men fall for." Please enjoy the story that Shiibashi-sensei weaves—beautiful yet full of humor, sometimes cruel, yet hope is never lost!
[Comment from Character Designer Atsuko Nakajima]
All the characters in "Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen" have strong personalities, their special abilities are unique, and moreover, they're all handsome. Especially Iwamoto-senpai is too kind to ability users. The activities of the juniors who admire him are also highlights. There are battles between characters with wounded hearts who are both heartbreaking and beautiful. There are also heartbreaking stories. I think it has become a work that you can enjoy watching.
Thank you for your support.
