Nonaka: It would be the photos with the red string ribbon school uniform that were released in the beginning when information was announced on X. These two really, really show Nonaka as she is.

——Is the fact that you were an active high school student until recently also a factor in the naturalness?

Nonaka: That's right... During high school, I think it was a period when I was thinking that there might be many things I wanted to do and could do. So I think I was able to express the feeling of "I don't really know about the future yet, but I'm giving my all to the present."

Also, it's weird to say this myself, but I have big eyes inherited from my mother. Even just looking normally, I have powerful eyes. (Looking at the photo) Yes yes, it's something. An expression that seems to want to convey something.

——Certainly, there's a feeling of being drawn in.

Nonaka: The shot in the yellow dress taken at the municipal pool gives a similar impression, right? A photo that somehow feels like it's seeing through the readers. Also, I like the photo taken at Glover Garden.

——The photo at the public phone booth, right?

Nonaka: It feels like I'm all dressed up. The face when my mom or dad says "Look this way, I'll take a photo." I feel like I'm making the expression from when I was really in kindergarten or elementary school, so it's one of my favorites. Also, I really love the photos of me riding a horse.

——The shot in the white dress-like outfit, right?

Nonaka: I used to have long bangs and showed my forehead in the past. So I wanted to have photos with my forehead showing so that those who supported me back then could feel a bit nostalgic.

——So it's a photo of gratitude.

Nonaka: My manager said about this photo, "It's kind of like a wedding."

——When I saw it, I also felt it was like a wedding dress.

Nonaka: I'd also be happy if people take it to mean "new determination" or things like that.

——Regarding the photos with the horse, not only riding in the fluffy outfit for photography, but also because it's a creature that doesn't understand language, I thought the shoot must have been difficult...

Nonaka: At first, (the horse) might have been scared because I was a woman in very voluminous white clothing. But when I petted it and stayed close to it, it became really attached to me. It never got violent even once.

——That's amazing.

Nonaka: Moreover, it was better at looking at the camera than I was (lol). While I was like, looking down and flustered at times, this horse kept looking at the camera the whole time.

——Horses really are smart! Were there any other shots that were difficult?

Nonaka: The shot eating sara udon, the amount (of food) was a lot (lol).

——It's a Nagasaki specialty! Sara udon generally has the image of being a large portion.

Nonaka: But I think unconsciously (lol), I poured sauce on it from the very first. Nagasaki people do pour it on, right from the start! So I don't know if that's why, but I finished eating first. So rather than me, I have the impression that everyone else was struggling to eat while getting full.

——Do you usually eat a lot?

Nonaka: Not really, I feel like my stomach has gotten smaller since moving to Tokyo. But when I encounter local Nagasaki food and such flavors, my stomach unconsciously gets bigger. The other day, I went to Ringer Hut (※) in Tokyo for the first time, and I ate a whole plate of sara udon, fried rice, and gyoza in no time. Moreover, I had a mouth ulcer at that time, but even while saying it hurts, it hurts (lol). I'm really a bit weak when it comes to my hometown.
