The Jujutsu Kaisen anime is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation. The story follows Yuji Itadori (CV: Junya Enoki), who, after becoming a vessel for the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, transfers to the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, an institution specializing in combating curses. While the original manga concluded in 2024, a spin-off titled Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo)—written by Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki—has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) since September 2025.
Episode 51: “Perfect Preparation”
Synopsis:
The group begins moving to fulfill their respective roles in order to pacify the “Culling Game.” Among them, Maki heads to the Zen'in estate to retrieve Cursed Tools to increase her combat power for the games. Ignoring the insults from Naoya and the pleas of her mother to stop, Maki makes her way to the storehouse. But when she opens the doors, instead of the tools, she finds a bloodied Mai and her father, Ogi Zen'in— waiting for her.
