This first Thursday regular broadcast of 2026 started with energetic New Year greetings from Ono and Hanae saying "Happy New Year!" The two, who were in high spirits from the opening with comments like "Let's make this a great one!" and "It's our first show of the new year!", began reflecting on their year-end and New Year memories.
Ono, who receives omamori (protective charms) in Kyoto every year, said he visited Kyoto again this year, and despite having already visited most of the tourist spots, he somehow made it a 2-night, 3-day trip. Having too much time on his hands, he ended up visiting an electronics retailer and said with a wry smile, "While the staff probably thought 'Why doesn't he just buy this in Tokyo?', I bought a vacuum cleaner and a coffee maker." Hanae grinned at this, saying "You really had too much time on your hands," and the studio was filled with laughter.

Additionally, Hanae, who spent most of last year traveling abroad for work and therefore spent his time relaxing at home, mentioned Chanmina and HANA's performance at Kohaku Uta Gassen. He nodded deeply with emotion, saying "That made me cry" about HANA's performance, who he had been passionately declaring was his "first-ever oshi."
