——In Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, the story begins from where Hathaway parts with Gigi and joins up with "Mafty."

Ono: I thought that after joining up with "Mafty" would become the core part of the story. Although Hathaway had his objectives as Mafty Navue Erin that he was trying to accomplish, in the first chapter, meeting Gigi obstructed them, so to speak. The story had ended at a point where his plans were delayed, but in Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, he begins to act in earnest as Mafty.

——After parting with Gigi and acting as Mafty, his intense suffering is depicted.

Ono: Although he had joined up with "Mafty" without seeing Gigi at the end (of the first chapter), when you think about someone when you can't see them, the feelings you have for that person—how you want them to be—I think those feelings expand more and more inside you.

In a situation where he might never see her again, Hathaway himself is aware that Gigi's presence is growing larger and larger within him.

In the midst of that, he must accomplish his objectives as Mafty and cannot betray his comrades, and I think the point of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe is that Hathaway is tormented by these feelings.

——The point of whether Gigi, as a goddess of victory, will side with Hathaway or with Kenneth is also important, isn't it?

Ueda: I think that which side Gigi as the goddess of victory will take will move the structure of Hathaway versus Kenneth, but I don't think Gigi herself is aware of being a goddess of victory. While it seems like she's manipulating the adults, I also got the impression that perhaps the adults are actually manipulating Gigi.

As Ono-san mentioned, the way the other person expands within you while you're apart—I think that's also happening within Gigi (separated from Hathaway), and I think those emotional movements will be the point of focus regarding Gigi.
