In Episode 52 of "Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1," which aired late at night on January 29, third-year students at the Jujutsu High School, Kinji Hakari (CV: Kazuya Nakai) and Kirara Hoshi (CV: Yuki Sakakihara), made their appearance. Hakari, who gives off a "bad boy" vibe, and Kirara, who coyly clings to him, immediately captured viewers' hearts with comments like "I love Kin-chan too much, I can't handle it!" and "Isn't Kirara so cute?"
In Episode 52 "Fever," Yūji Itadori (CV: Junya Enoki) and Megumi Fushiguro (CV: Yūma Uchida) decided to seek cooperation from Hakari, a third-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. According to the skilled sorcerer Yūta Okkotsu (CV: Megumi Ogata), Hakari is evaluated as being "stronger than Okkotsu when he's on a roll," but he appears to be someone with poor conduct, such as hosting gambling matches as a bookie that violate jujutsu regulations. Furthermore, Hakari was on suspension for having conflicts with the conservative higher-ups in the jujutsu world, and there was a high possibility that Itadori and Fushiguro, who are technically on the "Jujutsu High" side, would not be welcomed. Therefore, Itadori and his group infiltrated the gambling matches hosted by Hakari while hiding their identities.
Itadori then ended up fighting Panda (CV: Tomokazu Seki), who had infiltrated earlier. The scene then switched to Hakari's side watching the match from a separate room. Hakari, sitting rudely on the sofa with his feet on the table, muttered in a bored manner, "...I can feel the fever going down." Kirara, sitting close to Hakari, traced her finger from his neck to his chin while asking, "Why is that, Kin-chan?" Knowing Panda's abilities, Hakari answered, "Luck is only worth something when it's tested, right? A bet where you can see the outcome from the start is boring."
With Hakari and the others finally becoming seriously involved in the story, the internet exploded with excitement, saying "The rumored duo has arrived," "Great characters," "Wait, I already love Kin-chan too much, I can't handle it!" and "Isn't Kirara so cute?" Comments from original work fans also flooded in, saying "The voices are seriously good" and "Exactly the voice I imagined!"
