Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is an anime adaptation based on the manga of the same name, which is serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday and has surpassed 32 million copies in total worldwide circulation. The story is set in a world "after" the Demon King has been defeated by heroes, and depicts the tale of Frieren, a mage who has lived for over a thousand years, embarking on a "journey to understand people" following the death of Himmel, the hero with whom she once defeated the Demon King. Season 2 of the TV anime sequel began broadcasting in January 2026.
