Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is an anime adaptation based on the manga of the same name, currently serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday, which has surpassed 32 million copies in worldwide circulation. Set in a world "after" the Demon King has been defeated by heroes, the story follows Frieren, a mage who has lived for over a thousand years, as she embarks on a "journey to understand people" triggered by the death of Himmel, the hero with whom she once defeated the Demon King. Season 2, the continuation of the TV anime series, began airing in January 2026.
