[Photos/Images] "Do Idols Have No Human Rights?" Viewers Burst into Laughter at Ruby's Despairing Face After Learning the Dark Side of the Entertainment Industry, Calling It "My Favorite Expression" and "Her Face Is So Good lol"! Anime "Oshi No Ko" Episode 29 1st

Episode 29 of the anime "Oshi No Ko" aired on February 11th (currently being broadcast sequentially). A scene was comically depicted where Ruby (CV: Yurie Igoma) showed a despairing expression after being told about "a certain behind-the-scenes story" of the entertainment industry, which sparked reactions online such as "Her despairing expression is cute."

In Episode 29 "Business," Ruby was ordered by her agency's president, Miyako Saito (CV: Lynn), to provide the password to her SNS accounts so the agency could manage the idol. When Ruby protested, saying "Ah, that's the thing, right! The one where you can't use your account if you transfer to another agency! That's how they trap talents!," Miyako easily admitted "That's right," and further explained that Ruby's name also has trademark rights, so it couldn't be used at a different agency.

Ruby threw a tantrum at Miyako's explanation, saying "This is a black agency! I'll transfer to a major idol agency!" Then Miyako countered, "Major agencies have even stricter restrictions," and revealed the dark side of the industry: "If you were to get a boyfriend, they would subtly manipulate things to make you break up." Ruby's mouth fell open as she showed a despairing expression, saying "Wait, do idols have no human rights?"
