The anime You Can't Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! (commonly known as Osarabu) is based on the manga of the same name by Shinya Misu. It’s a romantic comedy centering on a love triangle between the protagonist, Sakai Yonosuke (also known as "Eiyū"), and his two childhood friends, Minamo Shio and Hiodoshi Akari.

【Synopsis】
Eiyū, Shio, Akari, and Runako arrive at the beach. Though Eiyū struggles to look the three girls in their swimsuits directly in the eye, he finds himself completely at the mercy of their aggressive advances.As evening falls, Eiyū and Akari accidentally miss the last bus home, leaving the two of them stranded. Forced to hike down a mountain path toward civilization, Eiyū ends up carrying Akari, who is secretly terrified of the dark, on his back.Realizing that "Eiyū hasn't changed since they were kids," Akari feels her heart flutter.
