Official Trailer for Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1 Released! Featuring Numerous New Cuts and New Voice Recordings of Yuko & Natsuki

The official trailer for Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1 has been released. In addition, a series of new announcements have been made, including the release of the third wave of advance movie tickets (Mubichike), the free streaming of the side story episode "Kakedasu Monaka," and the announcement of a cast event.

Sound! Euphonium is a concert band anime series produced by Kyoto Animation. Since the first TV anime season began airing in April 2015, theatrical films, special editions, and spin-off movies have also been produced, and the series celebrated its 10th anniversary last year. The series will come to a grand conclusion with Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1, scheduled for release on April 24, 2026. For this film, scriptwriter Jukki Hanada has written a new scenario, and numerous new scenes have been added, including performance scenes that were not depicted in the TV series.

■Official Trailer Featuring New Cuts & Voice Recordings Released

The released official trailer showcases the Kitauji High School Concert Band as they strive toward their goal of winning the gold medal at the national competition. Notable new cuts include Reina Kōsaka's valiant appearance at the marching band event "Sunrise Festival," the members marching, the scene where protagonist Kumiko Ōmae takes on the important role of club president, and performance scenes at the concert band competition. Furthermore, new voice recordings of former president Yuko Yoshikawa and vice president Natsuki Nakagawa have been included, creating content that heightens anticipation for the film's release.

■Third Wave Mubichike & Free Streaming Information for Side Story "Kakedasu Monaka"

On Friday, March 6, the third wave of advance movie tickets (Mubichike) will go on sale. The card design features the second key visual depicting a total of 17 characters, and comes with a "Tuba-kun Sticker" as a bonus.

Additionally, it has been decided that the side story episode "Kakedasu Monaka," which was only included on the Blu-ray of the first TV series season and is not available on streaming sites, will be released for free for a limited time on the KyoAni Channel on YouTube. This popular story depicts the feelings and behind-the-scenes contributions of the "monaka (substitute members)" who were not selected for the competition lineup. A premiere screening will be held starting at 21:00 on Saturday, March 14, and a giveaway campaign offering a chance to win signed posters will also be held on X (formerly Twitter).

■Annual "Uji de Omatsuri Festival" Confirmed

Furthermore, "'Sound! Euphonium' 9th Time! Uji de Omatsuri Festival" will be held on Saturday, June 6, at the Uji City Cultural Center in Uji City, which also serves as a setting in the series. Five cast members—Tomoyo Kurosawa, Ayaka Asai, Moe Toyota, Chika Anzai, and Haruka Tomatsu—will appear and participate in talk sessions and dramatic readings of newly written scenarios.
