"The Cuteness is Off the Charts!" "I'm So Happy!" Excitement Builds for Chiikawa's Big Adventure as Scene Cuts from "Chiikawa The Movie: The Secret of the Mermaid Island" Are Released to Huge Response

The official account for "Chiikawa The Movie: The Secret of the Mermaid Island" has updated X, revealing scene cuts scheduled for release on July 24th for the first time, causing a major buzz among fans.

In the newly released scene cuts, we can see Chiikawa (CV: Haruka Aoki) and Hachiware (CV: Makoto Tanaka) leaning over the deck of a ship, as well as Usagi (CV: Ari Ozawa) showing a relaxed expression on top of a tree stump. Additionally, there is a cut capturing the back view of Chiikawa and Hachiware looking at the ocean together, with numerous characters gathering at what appears to be a beach at sunset, conveying the sense of scale of the "big adventure" that unfolds in the film.

In response to this post, voices of joy such as "I'm really looking forward to Chiikawa's adventure," "It's finally here!!" and "I'm so happy!" have flooded in. Moreover, many comments eagerly anticipating the theatrical release have been posted, such as "The cuteness is off the charts just from the scene cuts" and "Just imagining Chiikawa and friends going on a big adventure on the screen makes my heart race uncontrollably."

This work is the first theatrical animation film based on the popular manga "Chiikawa" by Nagano. What is depicted in this work is a long-form story called the "Siren Arc," which Nagano wrote specifically for the film. This highly popular episode, one of the series' best, which made social media trends with each installment, has finally been adapted into video. Production is by CygamesPictures, known for their high-quality animation, including the overwhelming action scenes in the theatrical version of "Umamusume: Pretty Derby - A New Era's Door." Under Nagano's complete supervision, the adventures of Chiikawa and friends are depicted with grand music and powerful visuals.
