In Episode 35 of the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," which aired late night on March 6th, Methode (voiced by Reina Ueda)—who has a soft spot for all things small and cute—demanded to do more than just pat Frieren (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki), expressing her desire to hug her as well. The internet erupted in laughter, with fans commenting, "Her demands are escalating, lol" and "This is way too funny."

In Episode 35, "Revolte the Divine," Frieren, Fern (CV: Kana Ichinose), and Methode ventured into the forest to hunt for demons. As they moved through the tense, heavy atmosphere, Frieren suddenly suggested, "Let’s talk while we walk."

When Fern asked in confusion, "Is that really okay?" Frieren explained, "Balance is key. It's all about tension and relaxation. Besides, communication is what builds better teamwork."

Then, while keeping her usual serious expression, Methode asked, "In that case, Miss Frieren, may I give you some headpats?" Frieren initially refused, saying, "I’m much older than you, so I won't allow any headpats." However, the moment Methode offered her "a spell to keep eggshells from falling in when cracking eggs," Frieren did a complete 180 and replied, "You can pat me as much as you want."
