The anime "High School! Kimengumi" is based on a gag manga by Motoei Shinzawa that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha) in 1980. The original work started as "3-nen Kimengumi" and was retitled "High School! Kimengumi" as the characters advanced to the next school level. It's a gag anime depicting the unpredictable school life of uniquely individualistic groups such as Rei Ichidō and the "Kimengumi," along with "Honegumi," "Irootokogumi," "Udegumi," and "Bangumi."

■Episode 9 Synopsis:
"Sleepyhead Jin-kun"
The Daima household is in a frenzy from morning trying to wake Jin up from the dream world. This is because ordinary methods don't work on him. With Kiyoshi's help as well, Jin is somehow sent off from home, and at school too, he fully demonstrates his own-pace attitude!

"Your Home Cooking..."
Yui's behavior when she arrives at school is strange. The cause is this morning's dream where she had a "good atmosphere" with Rei. When she actually faces Rei in reality, she gets flustered from embarrassment, but it seems Rei also has something he wants to say to Yui...?
