Countering Water Attacks with Surfing! Reggie's Anime-Original Battle Scenes Praised as "So Varied and Fun!" "How Do They Come Up with These Fighting Styles!" Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 57

Episode 57 of the anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" Season 3 "Culling Game Arc Part 1" aired late at night on March 12th. The intense battle between Megumi Fushiguro (CV: Yūma Uchida) and Reggie Star (CV: Yutaka Aoyama), enhanced with even more playful anime-original elements, has been receiving praise online with comments like "So varied and fun!" and "They can do that too?!"

In Episode 57 "Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Part 4," Fushiguro and Reggie engaged in a one-on-one duel. Reggie, who wields a unique cursed technique that "materializes the contents of receipts," used a variety of items to toy with Fushiguro.

In response to the water attacks from Fushiguro's shikigami Max Elephant, Reggie pulled out a surfboard and gracefully rode the waves to evade. Next, after jumping high into the air, he materialized a large number of stuffed animals and landed on top of them. He then produced bouldering holds (protrusions) on the wall to move around inside the building.

While scenes such as Max Elephant spraying water exist in the original manga, the anime version shows Reggie countering attacks with even more unique methods.
