"Are You Sensei?" Ruby & Aqua Realize Each Other's True Identities... Tearful Reunion Called a "Legendary Episode" and "Got Goosebumps" in Anime "Oshi No Ko" Episode 35

In Episode 35 of the anime "Oshi No Ko," which aired on March 25 (broadcasting sequentially), Ruby (CV: Yurie Igoma) realizes that Aqua (CV: Takeo Ōtsuka) is actually Goro (CV: Kento Itō), the doctor she loved before her reincarnation. This long-awaited "true reunion" led to an outpouring of emotion from viewers online, with comments like "Can't stop crying" and "Such an iconic scene."

Aqua is the reincarnation of the doctor Goro, and Ruby is the reincarnation of Goro's patient, Sarina Tendouji (CV: Tomoyo Takayanagi). Aqua continues with information only Goro would know: "That's not the reason you wanted to become an idol, is it? You finally escaped that hospital room and are free to live your life, aren't you?" Ruby tears up and asks, "Wait, could it be? Are you sensei?" Aqua then picks up Ai's merchandise that Ruby was holding, as if confirming the answer, and says, "I was looking for this. You've been keeping it for me, haven't you, Sarina-chan?"

From there, flashbacks of the days Goro and Sarina spent together are shown, ending with an image of Sarina hugging Goro. When the scene returns to the present, Ruby, now certain of Aqua's true identity, cries hard and hugs him, calling out "Sensei!"
