Himmel's Wish Comes True in the Future... "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Season 2 Finale, Frieren Gazing at a "Beautiful Sight" is So Emotional!

Episode 38 of the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" aired on March 27th. Himmel (CV: Nobuhiko Okamoto), who once saw a "certain beautiful sight" and wished that by defeating the Demon King, everyone would be able to see this sight. As time passed, a future approaching Himmel's wish was depicted, and viewers on the internet were moved to tears, posting comments like "So emotional..." and "So deeply moving."

In Episode 38, "A Beautiful Sight," which served as the Season 2 finale, Frieren (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki) and her party visited the Schmal Snowfields. In the Schmal Snowfields, a precious mineral called "Holy Snow Crystals" could be mined, and the area was bustling with adventurers who came to earn money through mining, as well as merchants who sold goods to those adventurers at high prices.

Afterwards, Frieren and her party took on a request to exterminate monsters nesting in the mineral vein and successfully completed their mission. When they woke up the next morning, the Holy Snow Crystal vein was illuminated by the morning sun, revealing a beautiful sight.

Frieren then recalled the time when she was traveling with Himmel and the others. When Himmel saw the Holy Snow Crystal vein in the past, he was moved by the beautiful sight and said, "This alone makes defeating the Demon King worthwhile. If we defeat the Demon King, an era will come when everyone can see this beautiful sight."

When the scene returned to the present, Frieren spoke with a gentle expression, saying, "It may not be possible for everyone, but an era has actually come where many people can see this sight. It's a strange feeling."
