Comments on "Sparks of Tomorrow"
Suzu Harashima (VA: Yo Taichi)
"I'm Yo Taichi, and I'll be voicing Suzu Harashima, one of Inako-chan's close friends. Among the three close-knit girls, she has a rather calm and composed impression. I hope you look forward to seeing what kind of presence she brings to the story!
To be honest, there’s so much I want to say, but since it’s before the broadcast, it’s frustrating that I can’t share more yet. I'm sure this is the kind of work that will make you want to talk about it with everyone! Please stay tuned for 'Sparks of Tomorrow'!"
Kate Okura (VA: Natsumi Kawaida)
"I’m Natsumi Kawaida, voicing Kate Okura. This project allowed for so much creative freedom, and I've been excited for every episode since the rehearsal stage!
Kate sometimes speaks in an original dialect, which was a challenge at first. However, I was encouraged by the words born from her honesty, and I enjoyed playing her with a straightforward spirit. I've approached this with such energy because I can't wait for everyone to see it and feel the passion of this series!
Please let yourselves be naturally drawn in by this 'gravitational pull' and fall in love with 'Sparks of Tomorrow'!"
Yajiro Yagura (VA: Kazuki Ura)
"I’m Kazuki Ura, voicing Yajiro Yagura. Yajiro is the cousin of the protagonist, Kihachi Sakamoto. He’s a quiet, shy boy. However, surrounded by such energetic characters, he gradually shows his true self throughout the story. I also hope you'll notice the warm bond he shares with Kihachi.
The setting of the steam era, with the careful depiction of people’s lives and even their breathing, creates such an immersive experience that you can almost feel the heat and smell the steam. I think everyone will be captivated by the visuals. I would be happy if you could lose yourselves in the world of this story and enjoy the excitement of pursuing 'electricity' along with the human drama!"
Izo Masubuchi (VA: Daisuke Hirakawa)
"I’m Daisuke Hirakawa, voicing Izo Masubuchi. As a servant of the Mizoe family, I consider it my mission to always follow and support Master Yousuke Mizoe in every aspect of his life. I have sworn my heartfelt loyalty to Master Yousuke and intend to serve him with all my sincerity and devotion.
'Sparks of Tomorrow' will fully showcase the brilliant activities of the handsome, talented, and courageous Master Yousuke. I truly hope you will all tune in to watch it."
Opening Theme Song: Luna Goami
"Nice to meet you, I'm Luna Goami. It is a true honor to participate in this soul-stirring work through the theme song. Carrying the passion I received from Director Ota and the creative team, I walked the streets of Kyoto and wove the lyrics together while gathering inspiration.
'Eureka Evrika' is a coined phrase created specifically for this work, expanding on the word 'Eureka,' which expresses the joy of discovery and invention. It was a word born during the songwriting process, and seeing it added as the subtitle was a heart-trembling experience unlike any other in my life. The adventure tale woven by Kihachi, Inako, and the other incredibly charming characters—combined with Hitomi Koto's vivid and meticulous music—is a story of 'regeneration' that feels like an electric current. Let's witness it together!"
Ending Theme Song: Ginger Root
"I've been an anime fan since I was a kid, so being in charge of an anime ending theme is a dream come true. I truly love Kyoto Animation's works. While there were many challenges in producing the ending theme, I wrote the song while thinking about the themes of the story, the characters' emotions, and the world of the project. Both as a musician involved in the music and as an anime fan, I’m looking forward to the broadcast of 'Sparks of Tomorrow'!"
