15th Anniversary of "Date A Live"! Brand-New Anime Production Confirmed! Teaser PV Released

The production of "Date A Live F Last Date," a brand-new anime in the "Date A Live" series, has been officially confirmed. Along with this announcement, a teaser visual and a teaser PV have been released.

Based on the light novel series published by Fujimi Fantasia Bunko (written by Koushi Tachibana), "Date A Live" features a unique premise: to save humanity from the threat of "Spirits," one must "date them and make them fall in love," or "kiss them to seal" their overwhelming power. Over the past 15 years, it has become a long-term project spanning five anime seasons and a theatrical film. The various media expansions have captivated many fans, and the series continues to expand as a grand saga.

Now, the production of a brand-new animation for the original main story has been greenlit. Throughout the story so far, countless histories and mysteries surrounding Spatial Quakes, the Neighboring World, DEM, Shinji Takamiya, Shido Itsuka, and the Spirits have been unraveled. With many truths revealed, the world of Shido and his friends has taken a clear shape. As if to fill the final remaining piece, their battle finally enters its closing phase.

The released teaser visual depicts Tohka Yatogami dressed in a wedding dress. Her happy expression hints at further developments in the story. Additionally, the teaser PV looks back at all 12 Spirits through their lines and footage, concluding with a familiar catchphrase, fueling expectations for what is to come.

The protagonist, Shido Itsuka, was an ordinary high school student attending Raizen High School in Tengu City until he was thrust into the battle surrounding the Spirits. He possesses the unique ability to seal a Spirit's power by kissing them and can then manifest that power himself. With his innate kindness and sense of justice, he has saved many Spirits.

On the other hand, Tohka Yatogami was the first Spirit Shido encountered and saved by sealing her power. She is a pure and innocent girl who deeply admires Shido; even the name "Tohka" was given to her by him. Aside from the Spirit of Origin, Mio, she is the only Spirit who was not originally human, and she made a massive contribution to the battle against Mio. Her Inverse form, which appears from time to time, is a separate personality with a domineering character that is completely different from the innocent Tohka.

To celebrate the decision to produce the new anime, congratulatory comments have arrived from the original author Koushi Tachibana, illustrator Tsunako, Nobunaga Shimazaki (voice of Shido Itsuka), and Marina Inoue (voice of Tohka Yatogami).
