[Photos/Images] Red Hood × Blonde Braids... What? "Daemons of the Shadow Realm's" Gabu-chan Becomes a Hot Topic for Resembling "That Character" by the Same Author 1st

Episode 2 of the anime "Daemons of the Shadow Realm," based on the latest work by Hiromu Arakawa, the blockbuster manga artist known for "Fullmetal Alchemist," has been airing sequentially since April 11th. Gabu-chan (CV: Misaki Kuno) has captured viewers' hearts as "cute," while simultaneously gaining a reputation for somehow resembling Edward Elric, the protagonist of "Fullmetal Alchemist."

In Episode 2, "Right and Left," Yuru (CV: Kenshō Ono) summoned the Tsugai "Right-Left-sama," the village's guardian deity, and confronted the attackers. Asa (CV: Yume Miyamoto), an eye-patch-wearing girl who is one of the attackers, claims to be Yuru's younger sister, and the mystery only deepens.

Like Asa, Gabu-chan is also one of the attackers. In the first episode, the impression was strong of an "enemy" who mercilessly killed villagers, but in Episode 2, a kind-hearted side was glimpsed, such as when Gabu-chan gently patted the head of Asa, who was in tears saying, "Brother, you were alive...!" upon meeting Yuru.

On social media, voices saying "Gabu-chan is cute" have been appearing one after another, quickly capturing viewers' hearts. Additionally, many fans seem to have been reminded of Edward Elric, who appears in the original author Hiromu Arakawa's previous work "Fullmetal Alchemist," due to Gabu-chan's appearance featuring a red hooded outfit, blonde hair in braids, and a petite build, with comments such as "Gabu-chan sometimes looks like Ed to me," "Are they intentionally making Gabu-chan look like Ed at first glance? Is that it?" and "The appearance really looks like Ed, doesn't it?" It should be noted that Arakawa herself has made the visual similarities between Gabu-chan and Ed a topic in her essay manga.
