The cumulative worldwide box office revenue for the movie "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" has already surpassed 100 billion yen.

Since its advance release on April 1, the film has grown at an incredible pace, reaching a worldwide box office gross of $628,765,135 (approximately 100.4 billion yen). It has become a record-breaking hit globally, including securing the No. 1 spot for two consecutive weekends in North America.

In the North American market, the film recorded $69 million (approximately 11.01 billion yen) over the three-day weekend (April 10–12) of its second week. Its cumulative score reached $308,117,135 (approximately 49.2 billion yen), crossing the major $300 million milestone shortly after its release. It also remains strong in international markets (excluding North America), debuting at No. 1 in Poland and surpassing a cumulative $320,648,000 (approximately 51.2 billion yen).

This film is the second animation work following "The Super Mario Bros. Movie," which grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide in 2023. Continuing from the previous film, Chris Meledandri of Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo serve as co-producers. Produced through a joint investment by Universal Pictures and Nintendo, Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic returned as directors, and Brian Tyler continued as the composer. In Japan, the film will be released nationwide on Friday, April 24, 2026.
