To commemorate the announcement of this project, a comment has also arrived from Mitsuo Fukuda, the series' general director. Fukuda states that the new work "condenses a new year of Cyber Formula into 6 minutes."
Although it is a short animation that unfolds in a very short duration of approximately 6 minutes, it captures the present of this world with the density and speed that can only be depicted in limited time. As a story, it is a legitimate sequel to "SIN," depicting what lies beyond that battle and the new season that the characters will face. In addition, the production involves not only the staff who previously worked on this series, but also creators of a new generation. It has become a production site where the feelings that have been passed down through the ages and new sensibilities intersect.
In this work, various settings have been reviewed and race regulations and designs have been newly constructed. In terms of visuals, everything from characters to cyber machines is produced with full animation without using any CG. The production team wants viewers to feel the sense of speed and weight, and the response of the driving that is born only from hand-drawn animation. They call out, "Although it is a short work, the passion put into each and every moment is the same as before. We hope you will witness the opening of a new year."
