Fans Say "The Way They Wear Them Perfectly Matches Our Interpretations!" New Illustration for "Bocchi the Rock!" Released Featuring Outdoor Festival Attire - "Bocchi-chan in Short Pants!?"

The official X account for the anime "Bocchi the Rock!" has posted an original illustration titled "Kessoku Band Waterproof Jacket," depicting the four members of Kessoku Band enjoying an outdoor festival, and it has become a major topic of conversation among fans.

The official post also included the message "Stay tuned for more updates!" raising expectations for future developments.

The released image depicts four characters wearing waterproof jackets: Hitori Gotō (CV: Yoshino Aoyama), Nijika Ijichi (CV: Sayumi Suzushiro), Ryō Yamada (CV: Saku Mizuno), and Ikuyo Kita (CV: Ikumi Hasegawa). Hitori wears her hood pulled deep over her head with the front fully zipped up, showing an anxious expression as if intimidated by the outdoor festival. Nijika has her jacket tied around her waist, Ryō wears hers normally, and Kita drapes hers diagonally over her shoulder - each showcasing a style that strongly reflects their individual character personalities. It's also notable that Gotō, who usually wears a tracksuit, is wearing short pants.

The anime "Bocchi the Rock!" is based on a 4-koma manga series written by Hamaji Aki, currently serialized in "Manga Time Kirara MAX." The story follows Hitori, an extremely shy and introverted high school girl, who by chance joins "Kessoku Band" led by Nijika, and grows through band activities alongside Ryō and Kita. When the TV anime aired in fall 2022, it became a massive hit, garnering attention for its authentic music scenes and carefully crafted psychological portrayals.
